Zero To 30 In A Couple of Weeks
It was just a couple of weeks ago when the temperature in the morning was below 0C. That was in Grande Prairie. Today, the temperature at one point was about 35C. Even after the thunderstorm and rain went through, the humidity and heat was unbearable.
The wee man and I went to a barbecue at Humber Springs Trout Club and thought we’d try some fishing as well. Fished for about an hour, and not even a hit. Probably the weird weather systems moving in and out – but who knows? Definitely some temperature records were set for this day – hard to believe that we’re getting weather like this in Southern Ontario at this time of the year. I think it had even snowed at least once by this time last year just north of Orangeville.
We also had to drive to Guelph – I was shocked at how low the water levels are on Guelph Lake! We’ve really had drought conditions this year – but even with that knowledge, I was stunned at seeing all this brown ground for probably several dozen feet where earlier, water had been. Island Lake in Orangeville is also suffering with substantial water level decreases.
