The Second Fly Swap Results

As regulars to About-Flyfishing will know, we held our first fly swap at the end of last year, which was a great success. In fact, many readers demanded a second one, and although not everyone that wanted to participate in the second one were able to, we still had 7 great patterns submitted! Two of the participants in the first swap, Jack Soape and Mike Hawkins, participated in the second fly trade. Mike sent along a picture of his daughter, Annie and himself out on the river together. It is obvious that Mike and Annie are great fishing partners!
There is not much point in providing any commentary on these flies. The images speak for themselves and I am excited about the quality of flies that were submitted. There was a good variety of flies, from the dependable and consistent Marabou Mis and Muddler Minnow, effective Nymph patterns, a flightless Adams dry which I am looking forward to trying shortly, and a couple of very pretty streamers including a Smelt pattern that received its name when the tier decided to submit to the swap.
