Fly Fishing Guide Drowns In Snake River

Some sad news as we learn about the drowning of fly fishing guide Bob Merrill.  Merrill, who was employed by Three Rivers Ranch and The Three Rivers Orvis Fly Shop was in his boat on the Snake River when his boat hit a tree and capsized.

Mr. Merrill was not wearing a life jacket but was wearing rubber waders at the time.

He was guiding a couple from Florida at the time of the accident. The couple were able to make it safely to shore.
