Brrrrr… It’s Been A Cold Autumn
I am ashamed! I have not been out fly fishing in almost two months. A bazillion things have kept me away from the river – including this very cool autumn we’ve had.
How cold has it been? Well, tonight it is -3 Celcius where I am. We’ve had snow falls several times this month already. September was either rainy or cool as well, for the most part. The days that were half decent for heading out to the river were days I had to put my nose to the grindstone – the days when I was available for fly fishing – it rained and were way too cold and damp for my liking.
There are still some possibilities though before the snow really begins to fly for an outing or three – we’ll see how that goes. And if not, well…. there’s a good chance I’ll be getting a new fly tying desk which will help me organize my office much better. Something about waking up and heading to my desk to work when there’s bits of feather and fur all over it from the night before fly tying activities.
I’ve got a bunch of articles planned as well – if I can find the time to get to them!
Hope the readers that still visit here have had more opportunities and better success in the past few weeks than I have, with regard to fly fishing!
