Description
Southern Ontario fly fishing guide, fly tyer and educator. Fly fishing and fly tying instruction. Ian Colin James has a wealth of experience in providing successful fly fishing trips on a variety of rivers in Ontario, Canada including the Grand, the Saugeen, Maitland and Thames rivers.
As well as providing guiding services, his flies are world renowned for catching and enticing all species of fish. Several of his patterns have been picked up by Orvis and are sold through their website.
In addition, Ian is an instructor at Fanshawe College in London, ON.
As well as a contributor of fly tying patterns in several books, Ian is the author of the best selling book, "Fumbling With A Fly Rod."
Ian can provide casting instruction to individuals or groups of people and enjoys teaching fly casting to children.

Having known Ian James for years, I have had the opportunity to fly fish with
him many times. I can attest to the fact that Ian’s knowledge and fly fishing
skills are second to none.
As well, he is a fantastic instructor who can have you casting a fly rod
decently in 45 minutes. He is fantastic with children and teenagers and his
humourous style make for a great outing.
