I have been using products made by Trondak including a variety from their "Aquaseal" leather conditioning and water proofing line up.

This stuff works! I have had nothing but great results with it.

If you still use paper maps on your expeditions, you may want to consider their "Map Seal." When maps are coated with this product, they become virtually impervious to water and yet are still foldable and readable. Fantastic stuff!
