A life revolving around fly fishing.
I am a self-taught fly fisherman/fly-dresser who grew up under the bright lights of the big city, Toronto (Canada) that is. Over the last eight years fly fishing/tying has been more to me than just a weekend hobby. The sport has become the staple that most my life revolves around. I have for the past several years been a fly fishing guide, commercial tier for lodges and private clients, teaching classes, and freelance writing for different fishing websites. Small stream fly fishing for wild trout is what I enjoy the most. I like being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a day to explore the breathtaking river scenery. The grace of fly fishing is something that I have always loved. The simple fact that you have a chance of hooking into a trophy trout is just icing on the cake to enjoying the wilderness.
My educational background consists of a Masters of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Florida International University, Miami, in 2001 and a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Northland College, Ashland Wisconsin, in 1999. Born in Montreal, Canada, I now call the secluded streams and vast northwoods of Ashland, Wisconsin home.
