As I wrote the other day, it is not too early to start thinking about Christmas gifts for the fly angler in your family. Unless you are keenly aware of what exact fly rod model including length and line weight rating your loved one wants, it’s probably best to stay away from that kind of purchase as a gift (unless you’re buying for a beginner and know the water conditions that will be fished).
